Jackson Hewitt Tax Service has named D. Michael Williams to the position of senior vice president and chief marketing officer. He takes over the position that was held by Debra Dowd from June 2010 through May 2012 and will again work under the company's CEO Philip Sanford.

Wave Accounting, which markets online small business accounting software, has launched new tools for accountants and bookkeepers. The Toronto-based company says the tools are designed to link members of the Wave Pro Network to small business customers.

Thomson Reuters has introduced a new release of its OneSource Indirect Tax software suite. Enhancements include features in Indirect Tax Determination 5.5 that enable a product to be dynamically assigned to a transaction.
