Rippling Expands EOR Program 2

Rippling has expanded its Employer of Record program to eight new countries. The change is part of the latest monthly release of the office application.
With EOR, a user can establish a legal entity in a country outside the United States, giving the user the ability to hire and pay employees in other countries. The latest additions are Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Israel, New Zealand, the Philippines, Switzerland and Turkey.
In addition, Rippling is providing hourly workers with a weekly break down of pay on paystubs so they can see hours worked, including overtime, for each of the weeks included in the pay period.
Users can now down payroll comparison data as a CSV file. Rippling says it has also provided more efficient time-entry CSV imports for Time an Attendance since users can automatically reconcile timestamps based on the employee’s timezone and
filter down to a specific set of imported entries and delete only those
They can also import thousands of entries in seconds, versus 30 minutes.

Sage has introduced a nonprofit package for its online Live platform. The new product, Sage Live Nonprofit, has been launched on the Salesforce AppExchange.The new module will integrate with the Salesforce Nonprofit Starter Pack and is available in the United States and United Kingdom with introduction into other countries to follow.

Price increases in payroll and human resource products helped Paychex grow revenue 4 percent for the first quarter ended August 31 while total revenue rose by 9 percent. CEO Marti Mucci said payroll price increases were in the 2-percent-to-4-percent range.

Accountant Embezzled from Foster Homes

A Long Beach, Calif.-based tax preparer has pleaded guilty to embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from group homes for teenage boys. In two separate cases, Gary Batchelor, 64, pleaded guilty to two felony counts of misappropriation of public funds and one felony count of filing a false tax return in his role, stemming from his role as an executive with the nonprofit group.

Same day payments are now possible this week because of a rule adopted by NACHA. The organization, which manages the ACH network, says same-day processing of almost any ACH payment is now possible. Previously, most transactions were settled on the next business day.

A Long Island, N.Y., CPA has been indicted for allegedly collecting $124,275 in a variety of benefits while working as an accountant. The office of the New York State Inspector General said Abraham Grossman of Chase Commons, Yaphank, received food stamps and home heating aid while maintaining a home in Suffolk County, N.Y., and a beach-front condo in Florida.
McGladrey Alliance Changing Name

The McGladrey Alliance is changing its name to the RSM US Alliance effective September 12. The new name follows the replacement of the name McGladrey LLP by the global RSM brand on October 26. There are about 75 independent member firms of the Alliance in 38 states, the Cayman Islands and Puerto Rico.
