Bloomberg BNA has added Net Investment Income Tax calculation and supporting worksheets to the BNA Income Tax Planner. The new tools can help tax practitioners manage Net Investment Income regulations, including the most recent changes finalized in November 2013.

Sage One Invoicing can create quotes, estimates and invoices and email invoices directly to customers. The cloud-based product also enables users to customize and brand invoices and to set up customer contacts, products and services.

H&R Block has agreed to provide access to its website and mobile applications to those with disabilities. If approved, the agreement will close legal action brought against the tax services giant by the U.S. Civil Rights Division that alleged the company technology was designed so "that individuals with disabilities are denied full and equal enjoyment of largely tax-preparation focused goods and services that are provided through H&R Block's website and mobile applications."

ZenPayroll, which targets small businesses, has raised $20 million in funding. The cloud-based company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth, expand into new geographies and to hire more staff. The funding came from General Catalyst Partners and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
