Rippling Expands EOR Program 2

Rippling has expanded its Employer of Record program to eight new countries. The change is part of the latest monthly release of the office application.
With EOR, a user can establish a legal entity in a country outside the United States, giving the user the ability to hire and pay employees in other countries. The latest additions are Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Israel, New Zealand, the Philippines, Switzerland and Turkey.
In addition, Rippling is providing hourly workers with a weekly break down of pay on paystubs so they can see hours worked, including overtime, for each of the weeks included in the pay period.
Users can now down payroll comparison data as a CSV file. Rippling says it has also provided more efficient time-entry CSV imports for Time an Attendance since users can automatically reconcile timestamps based on the employee’s timezone and
filter down to a specific set of imported entries and delete only those
They can also import thousands of entries in seconds, versus 30 minutes.

A forensic accountant and certified fraud examiner has pleaded guilty to a charge failed to report a Swiss bank accountant. Howard Bloomberg, 55 of Atlanta, admitted he had not reported the account, whose highest balance in 2008 was more than $950,000, to the U.S. Treasury Department.

The American Institute of CPAs is about to introduce what it terms one of the most significant revisions in non-audit standards in the last 35 years. The pending Statement on Standards for Accounting and Review Services No. 21 is part of an effort to clarify standards for members in public practice who perform reviews, compilations, and engagements to prepare financial statements.
Intuit Links ProAdvisors to Bill.com
Intuit is giving its QuickBooks ProAdvisors free accounts with Bill.com. ProAdvisors receive a complementary account for up to three users. And the plan outlined at this week's QuickBooks Connect conference presages relationships with other software vendors.
AICPA: Partners Are Not Employees

The American Institute of CPAs has urged the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to reject staff requests that accounting firm partners be classified as employees. In a letter to the EEOC, the AICPA says the classification of partners as employees under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act would disrupt the accounting profession and its business practices.

ntuit has introduced a three-tiered subscription pricing plan for QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, its sort of low-end midmarket accounting package. The annual subscription pricing with silver, gold and platinum levels was introduced on October 6.

The CCH IntelliConnect Browser Search, a browser add-in, can simultaneously search and access IntelliConnect subscription content and public content via search engines, such as Google. Users can read returned results without logging in once the tool has been installed.
Intuit Paints QBO Vision
Intuit has not publicly stated what will be revealed at the upcoming QuickBooks Connect conference this month. But at last month's Investor's Day CEO Brad Smith outlined areas that we are likely to see addressed, if not this month, then over the next year, including the development of QuickBooks Online as a platform that connects all applications used by small businesses.
Xero Bolsters U .S. Team, Product
Xero made it clear, following September's sudden departure of North American CEO Peter Karpas, that it was not happy with its leadership in the United States. In a trading update for the first half ended September 30, the New Zealand-based cloud company said it was "Dissatisfied with execution and leadership" in this country and that it also needs to fill product gaps.
Hoosier CPA Indicted on Bank Fraud Charge

A CPA from Munster, Ind., has been indicted on charges that he stole more than $600,000 from a physician, who had hired the accountant, for his casino gambling. CPA Jack Weichman was indicted of charges of bank theft for a scheme that allegedly ran from December 2008 through 2009.
