FreshBooks, which has offered online invoicing, is becoming an accounting package. However, while declaring the product is now going to be known as an online accounting product, the company has not described what specific accounting functions might be added but did say it will be targeted at professional services.

Sage has added Beyond415, a post-filing practice and procedure application, to the lineup of software available to members of its Sage Accountants Network. Members can receive a 15-percent discount on the web-based production from New River Innovation and also receive access to educational webcasts on a variety of Internal Revenue Service and post-filing related topics. These sessions qualify for continuing education credits.
