PCAOB Censures Former JSW Partners

The Public Company Accounting Oversights Board has censured two partners who had worked at Jewett, Schwartz, Wolfe & Associates and revoked the registration of the Hollywood, Fla.-based CPA firm for five years. The agency also barred partner, Lawrence Wolfe, who led the public company audit practice, from being associated with a registered firm.
Justice Goes After Dallas Tax Preparers

The Justice Department is seeking to bar two Dallas tax return preparers from preparing federal tax returns for others. A suit alleges that Ricardo Solomon and Leslie Mosley, who operate a business called Trini Tax, claimed false deductions and credits on customers' federal tax returns.
Withum Office Adds Silverman as Partner

Marc Silverman has joined the Morristown, N.J., office of WithumSmith+Brown as a partner. With 22 years as a CPA, Silverman came to WS+B from his boutique firm, MH Silverman and Associates, which provided specialized auditing services for athletes and the entertainment industry, which he founded in 2010.
