Paychex CEO Resigns

Jonathan Judge, who has served as president and CEO of payroll services provider Paychex, has resigned the position that he has held since October 2004 when he became the company's second president. The resignation is effective July 31. However, the company issued a statement that Judge would complete his term as a member of the Paychex board of directors.

Lacerte and ProSeries Data Import Tested

Intuit is conducting a test of importing tax information into its desktop tax preparation
software packages. The company has not published a release date and a spokesman would say only that it would be available in coming months. The ProLine Tax Import offering was available to customers in sneak peaks at the Los Angeles Accounting and Business Show in June.

CCH Enhances IntelliConnect

CCH has made one of the broadest in a string of enhancements to its less than-year-old IntelliConnect research platform that are designed to reduce the number of keystrokes it takes for users to get to content, including placing the browser tree on the home page. And the company made font sizes for the system larger in virtually all cases.
