CITP Candidates Get Chance to Avoid Test

The American Institute of CPAs is giving candidates for its Certified Information Technology Professional credential a chance to avoid the mandatory testing that begins in July. CPAs interested in receiving the designation can still obtain the certification if they apply by May 25. At the same time, the committee guiding the process is developing continuing education courses for the program.
Ohio Society's CEO or to Retire

The Ohio Society of CPAs has begun the hunt for a new CEO following the announcement that J. Clark Price, who has spent almost 40 years with the association, will retire on December 31. Price has served as CEO and president since 1990 and joined the organization in 1972 as public relations director. The society has hired Vetted Solutions, a Washington D.C.-based executive search firm to find a successor.
Williams Adley Names Elbert Partner

Williams Adley & Co. has named Audrey Elbert as a partner. In her new role, Elbert, who works out of the Oakland, Calif., office, will manage engagements, coordinate staff development and peer reviews, as well as focusing on client service. Besides being a CPA, Elbert, who joined the firm in 1992, also has a law degree.from the Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California-Berkeley.
