Anthony Pugliese has been named as incoming CEO of the California Society of CPAs/CalCPA Education Foundation. He will take over the jobs from Loretta Doon who is retiring in June. Pugliese assumes the positions on May 1.

Jon Baron is leaving Thomson Reuters after leading its professional tax business since January 2006. He made the announcement of his December departure in his keynote at the company’s Synergy conference this week. He is being replaced by Charlotte Rushton who was named president of tax professionals in July.

Sage CEO Kelly Quits Job

The Steve Kelly era at Sage has ended. The CEO this week resigned as director and CEO of the Sage Group, but will not leave the company until May 31, the company said. CFO Stephen Hare, who has become interim COO, will run the company until a replacement can be replaced.
