N.J. Man Pleads to False Return Charge

A Somerville, N.J.-based tax preparer has pleaded guilty to trying to impede Internal Revenue laws and preparing a false tax return. Eric Majette, 52, owner of the Berrisford Group Tax & Accounting Services entered the plea after being indicted in January.

IRS2Go Available in Spanish

The Internal Revenue Service has released IRS2Go 3.0, an update to its smartphone application. The latest version provides the mobile app with the ability to acccess tax tools and information for the first time in Spanish. The taxpayer's phone language settings determine whether content appears in English or in Spanish.
