IRS Adds Info Page for Pros, Consumers

The Internal Revenue has established a new page on IRS.gov to provide information on the current tax season.

Aimed at tax professionals and taxpayers, the resource will also address the agency’s efforts to reduced its inventory of returns filed during the 2021 tax season

The "special tax season alerts" page will be available through the IRS.gov home page and shared through social media and other channels. It will include tax filing season updates and steps to reassign resources in order to address the backlog, along with updates on operations and the number of unprocessed tax returns

He is known throughout the industry for his depth of knowledge and for his high journalistic standards.  Scott has made frequent appearances as a speaker, moderator and panelist and events serving tax and accounting professionals. He  has a strong background in computer journalism as an editor with two former trade publications, Computer+Software News and MIS Week and spent several years with weekly and daily newspapers in Morris County New Jersey prior to that.  A graduate of Indiana University with a degree in journalism, Bob is a native of Madison, Ind
