Intuit Lists Tax Software Updates

 Intuit has published a list of new features for its ProConnect TaxOnline, Lacerte and ProSeries software.

 All three feature eSignature improvements, including what the company calls Improved Account Management that it says makes new user onboarding simple and easy for current users

There is also a new billing profile for ProSeries and Lacerte with each of the tax packages, Intuit eSignature, and Tax Scan and Import consolidated into a single wallet, meaning users will not have to re-enter information with each purchase.

Another feature Intuit says is coming soon for ProSeries and Lacerte is tax accuracy notifications. Users of those products can receive notifications about returns that were “affected by tax law or other changes after you filed them and what to do next.”

Other ProConnect Updates:                                                                                                                                                                                              *The ability to drag and drop client tax documents directly their return with no manual data entry with Intuit Link request needed.                     *ProConnect predicts tax forms and suggests what is needed based on data and common workflow patterns.                                                           *Users can assign and sort client returns by staff members, then re-assign each return as it changes hands.                                                                 *E-filed returns can be auto-locked to prevent manual entry errors and calculation updates that may alter the original e-filed tax return.                    *The status of e-filed returns can be view by return types, including federal, state and extensions.                                                                                     * Tax pros can get a full view of any users working on the same tax return.                                                                                                                      *Intuit says users can soon export client data from standard tax return fields and query data based on common tax scenarios.

Other ProSeries Updates:                                                                                                                                                                                                     *A dialog box that auto-detects open QucBooks files and enables users to set beginning and end dates.                                                             *Different background colors for current-year and prior-year returns                                                                                                                      *Calculator enhancements that enable ProSeries to respond to Windows settings to grow and shrink to preferred sizes and provide for three types of data entries.                                                                                                                                                                                                                *Custom HomeBase view and filtering are now available for ProSeries Basic. ProSeries Professional users can automatically transfer custom views from 2020 tax software to 2021 tax software.                                                                                                                                                                       *A background update is coming soon to automatically download, verify and install updates when available.
