Intuit to Launch New Payroll Line

Intuit plans to introduce new a QuickBooks Online Payroll line in the next few weeks. The company said this week it will start in “the next few weeks” in releasing revamped and products to a small number of new customers and then ramp up to a full release.

The products include QBO Payroll Core and Premium, with a new edition, Elite, joining the family. They will be available to new customers only until 2020. Accountants with clients using the products will receive information later.

Core is an update to QBO Self-Service Payroll while Premium is described as a revamped QB Full Service Payroll. Price and discounts have not been determined.

The products will now offer group health benefits plans through a partner, Simply Insured, as an add-on service that gives users the ability sign up through the payroll overview screen and selecting the benefits plan.T

Core includes automatic tax forms, payroll and healthcare. Premium adds Premium time tracking, expert setup review and an HR support center. In addition Elite offers Elite time tracking, onboarding performed for users, a tax penalty free guarantee and a personal HR advisor.
