Thomson Offers Healthcare Certificate

Thomson ReutersThomson Reuters has launched the Checkpoint Learning Health Care Reform Certificate Program. Practitioners can earn the certificate by demonstrating their knowledge of the legislative and tax implications of healthcare reform. Program registrants will obtain practical guidance on the Affordable Care Act, including employer and individual mandates and the net investment income tax.

The program fee is $499 per person. Participants can receive up to 27 hours of Continuing Professional Education credits. Holders can renew certificates by completing eight hours of CPE annually.

Instruction offered through the program included six online courses: The Affordable Care Act: A Practical Guide; Net Investment Income Tax; Health Insurance Marketplaces; Obamacare: The Employer Mandate; Obamacare: The Individual Mandate; and Reporting Requirements for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. There are also three webinars: Health Care Costs and Long-Term Care; Health Care Reform – Non-Tax Issues for 2015 and Understanding the Forms and Calculations for Health Care.
