The Internal Revenue Service also announced the appointment of three new members of the committee, which provides a forum for discussion of issues in electronic tax administration.

The new members are James Buttonow of Greensburg, N.,C, a CPA and VP of product development for Beyond415 software products; Everard Lee Davenport of Washington, D.C., principal at Davenport Consulting, who is the architect of MyFreeTaxes.com. and Troy Thibideau of Maple Grove, Minn., VP of marketing and client operations for Convey Compliance Systems, who works with third-party service providers and information returns.

Each June, the committee submits report to Congress about the progress of the IRS's electronic tax initiatives.
