The PCPS Strategy Planning Toolkit has been introduced by the American Institute of CPAs. Free for a limited time, it is designed to assist accounting firms in business model transformation.
Developed by the AICPA's Private Companies Practice Section, the toolkit firms through a series of steps designed to provide a pathway for to business transformation. “Teams can then visualize this pathway via interactive and customizable chart creation,” the AICPA said in its announcement.
This methodology provides a sequence of exercises that “has been used by organizations of all sizes to create meaningful, actionable and inspiring plans,” according to the organization.
Supporting documents provide suggestions for how to maximize benefits of the toolkit.
To get started, firms are urged to review the Guide to Using the PCPS Strategic Planning Toolkit, which provides detailed information on preparation, setup, and facilitation. The toolkit also includes timing, materials and results for each section. There are step-by-step instructions and expected outcomes.
