Rippling Expands EOR Program 2

 Rippling has expanded its Employer of Record program to eight new countries. The change is part of the latest monthly release of the office application.

With EOR, a user can establish a legal entity in a country outside the United States, giving the user the ability to hire and pay employees in other countries. The latest additions are Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Israel, New Zealand, the Philippines, Switzerland and Turkey.

In addition, Rippling is providing hourly workers with a weekly break down of pay on paystubs so they can see hours worked, including overtime, for each of the weeks included in the pay period.

Users can now down payroll comparison data as a CSV file. Rippling says it has also provided more efficient time-entry CSV imports for Time an Attendance since users can automatically reconcile timestamps based on the employee’s timezone and

filter down to a specific set of imported entries and delete only those 

They can also import thousands of entries in seconds, versus 30 minutes.

Ceridian: Red Tape Hampered COBRA Effort

PETERSBURG, Fla. - Ceridian Benefits Services has found that the COBRA subsidy enacted by the U.S. government would have helped more unemployed workers if it required fewer compliance, paperwork and record keeping responsibilities from employers. The company's report was present to members of the U.S. Department of the Treasury this week by the American Benefits Council.

Copanion Snares $10.2M

Ed JenningsANDOVER, Mass.  –  Copanion, which markets tax document automation software, has closed a $10.2 million round of venture capital funding, co-lead by Commonwealth Capital Ventures and Pilot House Ventures Group. It was the company's third fund-raising round. With the financing, Edward Jennings, Copanion’s former SVP of marketing and sales, has taken over the job of CEO from founder Steven Ladd, who is now responsible for new market development, an advisory position.

ADP Slashes Executive Bonuses

Gary Butler pictureExecutive compensation at ADP followed the market down as the payroll services giant slashed bonuses and stock awards for its CEO and CFO for 2009. President and CEO Gary C. Butler saw a 15.2 percent decline in his salary while compensation for CFO Christopher R. Reidy was off 24.5 percent.

Intuit Renames PayCycle; Sets Up Proline Page

Intuit ProlineIntuit has created a Facebook page for ProLine, the new brand that it has rolled out for its professional tax and accounting applications. The page features pictures of the ProLine products, a name that first hit the market during the summer when Intuit struck a deal with BNA to use that company's research as content for the ProLine Research service. The page also displays Intuit's new name for PayCycle.
