NetSuite Revamps Accountants' Programs

Oracle NetSuite has put a new face on its program for accountants as it continues to stress reaching small and medium-sized businesses. The new Suite Accountants program was designed to bring its efforts in the accounting channel under one umbrella.

Over the last few years, NetSuite had emphasized moving more into corporate markets. But the more recently, it has begun emphasizing that it also serves smaller organizations. “We need to be talking to people about what is different for NetSuite for a very small firm,” according to Ranga Bodla, VP of field engagement and marketing. Bodla says NetSuite wants to help accountants with clients who start as smaller organizations and then have them grow as businesses that need more out of NetSuite. SuiteAccountants provides some familiar benefits to participating firms. This includes one free license for each member firms, so they can support clients. A referral program offers members a 10-percent commission on the first year’s license for referrals that become new NetSuite customers. There is also instructor-led training through NetSuite Online Learning, designed to provide ‘new members with the foundational knowledge needed to optimize NetSuite for your client’s business needs.” In addition, NASBA CPE-approved courses are available for living group and individual self-paced training. NetSuite Education Services offers certifications for users across the entire organization. Among these certifications are SuiteFoundation, Administrator, ERP Consultant and SuiteCloud Developer credentials.
