Xero Simplifies Training

Xero has taken steps to make required training easier for its channel. The company has reduce the length of training videos and consolidated many of resources available to its partners, it said during the recent Xerocon conference

“It’s much more micro learning,” said Ashley Driver, the company’s partner, content and curriculum owner, said during the event, The company is consolidating many of the web pages for content available via Xero Central. And over the last 18 months and effort was to make the platform “more clean and structured,” he said.

Xero has eliminated the need to earn 20 credits to maintain certification. Now, partners can stay certified through their participating in four product updates annually. They can view live or recorded webinars and then answer questions about the content, Driver said. The focus is “on the changes in the product in the last 90 days and what’s coming up on the next 90 days,” he said.

Also eliminated was the migration certification, which has been changed to a badge. “A badge is an achievement you can gain, based on content,” Driver said. “Once you have it, it is yours.”
