AICPA Starts NFP Section

AICPAThe American Institute of CPAs has created a Not-for-Profit Section. The section will provide support and resources in the area audit, financial accounting and tax for members and other professionals who serve the nonprofit market.

Individuals who have management or governance responsibilities with not-for-profit entities, including board members and volunteers, are eligible to join the AICPA non-CPA Associates. Associate members, including Associate and non-CPA Associates, can join the new section.

Owing to the unique issues faced by healthcare entities, they are not eligible to join this section. Section members will have access to tools such as work paper templates, checklists, illustrative examples, and sample letters, reports and policies in areas such as tax compliance, governance, financial reporting, auditing and accounting.
