Intuit has been grappling with outages and delays that have affected a number of its online services, including payment processing during much this week. Initially, Intuit reported that a weekend update had caused the problems, but issues persisted for the next two days.
The first report on Intuit's Facebook page came at 4:36 p.m. Monday, with the company stating that the interruption had affected Merchant Services, which provides credit-card processing. That day, the company issued the explanation about the impact of the update.
The issues continued today, September 21, with the company reporting during the afternoon that, "We continue to investigate root cause of issues related to credit card processing and emailing invoices/estimates." Intuit offered workarounds for Merchant Services and the Intuit Billing Manager, although by that point some users reported the services were working and Intuit said in late afternoon that the issues had been resolved.
