IRIS Buys Payroll Biz

Check hand The Iris Software Group, which has purchased a number of companeis that make software for tax and accounting offices, has acquired Apex HCM. Terms were not disclosed.  

The addition of the HCM company which offers payroll products for 130,000 SMBs in North America, to expand its payroll busienss in North America. Iris, based in the United Kingdom,  has previously purchased Conarc, Doc.It, myPay Solutions and AccountantsWorld. Iris reports it had a 28-percent increase in revenue for 2022, but did not list revenue. Besides offering service-bureau operations, Iris is marketing its openness to buying payroll businesses. Apex’s payroll offerings include a white label program for service bureaus. Besides payroll, Apex also makes human resource software which features such as applicant tracking, employee onboarding and benefit enrollment.
