Liberty Returns Up 11.5 Percent
Liberty Tax Service reports that the number of federal tax return filed through February 29 have risen by 11.5 percent over the same period last year. The company also said that revenue has risen by 8 percent for the same period over totals in 2010.
That follows the report by H&R Block that returns were up by 6.7-percent year-over-year through February 15. Block saw returns filed from its retail stores rise by 2.1 percent while digital returns are up 16.7 percent for that period. Intuit had reported 10-percent rise in sales of federal TurboTax units through February 18.
