Corvee has introduced suite of tools and services to help tax and accounting firms to generate more revenue from tax advisory services. The Tax Advisory Services Scale offers what the company calls “proven methodology, guidance and content solutions to help firms shift from a compliance-driven business to a tax advisory service business.”

Returns received by the Internal Revenue Services for the tax season ended February 25 rose by .3 percent over the totals for the season through Feb. 26, 2021. And the number of self-prepared efiles was down for the second weekly report in a row.

NextPoint Financial, which owns the Liberty Tax business, said this month it probably “substantially” overpaid for its purchase of LoanMe. LoanMe was purchased on July 2 for about $102 million.
