Lai is handling all marketing, along with what the company said was “reimagining client engagement with a digital-first, multi-channel focus”. Whiting’s responsibilities are developing “a unified set of financial products”.
Lai was previously with AMC Theaters from November 2015. He was most recently SVP of digital and loyalty marketing from November 2018.
Whiting worked with Wave from November 2011 and remained with the operation after it was purchased by Block in July 2019. He assumed the position of chief financial services officer in February that year.
