Rippling Expands EOR Program 2
Rippling has expanded its Employer of Record program to eight new countries. The change is part of the latest monthly release of the office application.
With EOR, a user can establish a legal entity in a country outside the United States, giving the user the ability to hire and pay employees in other countries. The latest additions are Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Israel, New Zealand, the Philippines, Switzerland and Turkey.
In addition, Rippling is providing hourly workers with a weekly break down of pay on paystubs so they can see hours worked, including overtime, for each of the weeks included in the pay period.
Users can now down payroll comparison data as a CSV file. Rippling says it has also provided more efficient time-entry CSV imports for Time an Attendance since users can automatically reconcile timestamps based on the employee’s timezone and
filter down to a specific set of imported entries and delete only those

Avalara has set the dates for four of its eight regional editions of its Crush Conference. The regional events are being held this year instead of one national event. Colo., One conference has already been held in Denver, Colo.
Xero to Cut 700 to 800 Jobs
Cloud accounting software company Xero intends to cut 700 to 800 jobs. The company says the total represents about 15 percent of its workforce.

Intuit has launched QuickBooks Small Business Index, which builds models from government statistics for small businesses in each country.

S.C. Comptroller Fried by $3.5B Error
South Carolina’s elected comptroller general, Richard Eckstrom, is resigning after the heat grew intense because of $3.5-billion error in state financial reporting. A CPA, Eckstrom, had held the job for 20 years.

CCH Axcess: Double-Digit Growth
Organic revenue for the CCH Axcess grew by double-digits for the year ended December 31, Wolters Kluwer has reported. That was part of the performance noted in the company’s tax and accounting business for 2022.
Returns Rise 1.3 Percent
Income tax returns received by the Internal Revenue Service for the season February 24 were 1.3 percent more than the total through Feb. 23, 2023. Meanwhile, efiles filed by tax pros surpassed those from DIYers.
IRIS Buys Payroll Biz
The Iris Software Group, which has purchased a number of companeis that make software for tax and accounting offices, has acquired Apex HCM. Terms were not disclosed.
