Pedalahore & Co. CPAs has named two CPAs, Kristin Spano Braud and Jeremy Troulliet as partners. The firm serves the Florida parishes east of the Mississippi River in Louisiana.

Two members of a conspiracy to use stolen preparer tax identification numbers to file returns seeking $45 million in tax refunds have been sentenced to prison. The result of the conspiracy  was a $7-million tax loss.

A requirement for reporting beneficial ownership in formation, which went in effect last month, should be suspended, the American Institute of CPAs said this week.
