Intuit is reported to have placed its online Intuit Practice Management application in a beta testing program. The product has been available to 2,000 firms as a pilot program over the last year. While the Intuit website had previously said the product would be released after the recent tax season, it seems likely the product will debut in July or August.
The practice management application is designed for Lacerte users. It was originally supposed to launch last year, but Intuit extended its test. The company also in December contracted with BigTime, which makes online applications, to incorporate that company's core time, billing, and practice management functionality in the Intuit product.
Intuit's statement about the post-tax season release and a link to a pilot program have both been removed from the section of its website about the product. The company is offering descriptions of applications functions along with answers to frequently asked questions. According to the FAQ section, the plan is "We will launch commercially once we have proven the commercial readiness of the solution with pilot testers."
The application offers client management, time and billing, engagement tracking and reporting.
