After getting the same poor response from Taxworks I started checking out other software packages Friday. I had planned to give Taxworks a couple more days. But this article and the associated comments caused me to do some fundamental testing on the new Taxworks. When I couldn't even enter a new asset into an existing client's depreciation schedule, my decision was made. I wish I had attended one of the rollout seminars last fall like Lyle did. I would have made the move then. Tomorrow morning I will make my final decision on what software I move to and will start the conversion process. My firm has been with Taxworks since the late 90s so this is a difficult decision. But I cannot risk the future of my firm. H & R Block has failed to secure my trust and they should know CPAs will only go so far on promises. Performance matters and tax season is here. I have waited as long as I can.
