Accountants to Access Solopreneur

Accountants are scheduled to have access to QuickBooks Solopreneur, which is designed for one-person businesses.

Intuit noted this month the new QB application is available and said only that access for accountants will come soon.

The market has been served by QB Self-Employed. But that is a single-entry accounting system, and Intuit said this can make the accountants’ job more difficult. Solopreneur enables accountants to have access to all double-entry records, including the Chart of Accounts and registers.

Self-employed subscribers can keep their subscriptions, but Intuit is encouraging new one-person—Schedule C—business to consider the product, available on the web or via the QB Accounting mobile app.

When the capability is available, subscribers can invite accountants to their files and the latter will be able to add Solopreneur customers via QB Online Accountant.
