Thanks for covering this. I was wondering when an industry publication would pick this up. Our firm gas been a user of TaxWorks since 2003. After installing I immediately noticed the software was not ready and as the days passed it was evident that TaxWorks was having major issues and got in way over their heads with their redesign. We decided to switch and migrated to Lacerte. TaxWorks was a great product, why did they have to change? I hope they can recover from this disaster. I could not bet the future on our firm on software that was clearly not ready for prime time. If TaxWorks reverts back to the old software platform I would strongly consider going back to them next year. I have been underwhelmed with Lacerte so far.
