Hi Bob: This has been standard procedure for years. Intuit awards or renews more than 15,000 CPA (QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor) certificates a year. These QB CPA certificates, which require a difficult annual test, are worth about $8 more per hour than Intuit ProAdvisor certificates, according to an Intuit survey. There are more than 35,000 of these QuickBooks PAs, who never pass a test. Despite that, their certificates are worth about $12 more per hour than self-designated QuickBooks Consultants. The Dirty Credential Game also relates to QuickBooks Consultants, who average around $20 more per hour than accounting clerks.
