The Internal Revenue Service has made the 2020 Form W-4 available at IRS.gov. The finalized version of the form is described as better incorporating changes brought about by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
The IRS says the new form enables employees to more accurately estimate withholdings for paychecks beginning next year. The agency says, “The goal of the new design is also to balance simplicity, accuracy and privacy for employees while minimizing burden for employers and payroll processors.”
