ProConnect to Import Prior Year

Users of Intuit’s ProConnect Tax will gain the ability to create tax returns by importing prior-year returns this year.

The software company’s web post only said the ability will come “soon”. When available, to upload 1040 returns from tax year 2022 to help create returns for tax year 2023.

ProConnect Tax will be able to extract relevant client data and values from the first two pages of a client’s prior-year tax return. Users can automatically create a new clienst into the system by importing taxpayer information, such as names, addresses, deduction information, dependent data and bank information.

The software then offers a guided review of data and the ability to make edits ed before applying the information to the tax returns.
