Bloomberg BNA Names Executives

Christine Correira, Bloomberg BNA Bloomberg BNA has named two individuals to top jobs. The Arlington, Va.-based publishing promoted Dan Fine to the position of COO earlier this month and hired Christina Correira as chief human resources officer in February. Both report to CEO President Greg McCaffery.

Product Officer Norton Leaving Xero

Angus Norton, XeroChief product officer Angus Norton is leaving Xero after working in that position since October 2014. Based in New Zealand, Norton is returning to his home in Seattle, Wash. His duties are being taken over by Duncan Ritchie, chief platform officer, with the product and platform teams being merged together as the cloud-based software company completes its platform migration to AWS.

TaxAct Parent Names CEO

John Clendening, BlucoraBlucora, which owns the TaxAct software line, has named John Clendening as president and CEO effective April 4. Clendening is replacing William Ruckelshaus. The hiring of Clendening, who had executive roles at Charles Schwab Bank and Charles Schwab & Co. follows Blucora's acquisition of HD Vest on December 31.

Laura Contreras Rowe, SiempreTax+Liberty Tax has named Laura Contreras Rowe as COO of its SiempreTax+ business, which is designed to provide tax preparation and other services to the Hispanic market. While Liberty, which operates a franchised store chain for tax preparation, announced her hiring in the last week, Contreras Rowe has been on the job since August.

News wire stories say Burgum doubts he will win the endorsement from party at its convention but will run in the primary in June.

She joins the Austin, Texas-based company after serving from May 2014 as VP of customer success at HotSchedules. James J. Wheaton, Liberty Tax Liberty Tax has named James J. Wheaton as chief compliance officer. Wheaton, who is taking on a new role, serves as general counsel for both Liberty Tax Service and its principal subsidiary, JTH Tax, which does business as Liberty Tax Service. Wheaton will continue was counsel for Liberty Tax and as VP of legal and governmental affairs.
