ADP Raises Revenue Guidance
Automatic Data Processing is raising its revenue estimates for the year ending April 30. The company increased its guidance for revenue for fiscal 2022 to 7 percent from the previously expected 6 percent.
ADP Enhances Freelance Features
Automatic Data Processing has enhanced its WorkMarket freelance management system. The company said this month a new feature, Recruiting Campaigns 2.0, enables businesses to quickly onboard workers.
Returns Catch Up Slightly for Tax Season
Tax returns came into the Internal Revenue Service at a slightly improved pace for the season ended March 25. The total was down 4.3 percent for the season through March 24, 2021. That was slightly narrowed from the prior report in that total was off 5.1 percent year-over-year.
Surgent Releases “Surgent Auditors”
Surgent has released its second game-based course “Surge Auditors” in its Surgent Interactive line. The latest offering follows the release of “Max the Tax” with the kick of the new product series last month.
QB Business Network Rolling Out
The QuickBooks Business Network is rolling out to accountants and their clients. The network, which enables QB Online customers to connect with the QB community, will be available to all accountants this summer.
Botkeeper Updates System
Bookkeeping software company, Botkeeper, has introduced the Botkeeper Operating System. The company this month said the product now “features a more efficient, streamlined and powerful user experience.”
WK Handling Higher Wages through Pricing
Wolters Kluwer has been aggressively hiring and also facing a tight labor market which is pushing wages higher. The company recently said that it will continue its practice of covering through increases through higher pricing.
NextPoint Overpaid for LoanMe
NextPoint Financial, which owns the Liberty Tax business, said this month it probably “substantially” overpaid for its purchase of LoanMe. LoanMe was purchased on July 2 for about $102 million.
SmartVault Revs Rise 20 Percent
Revenue for SmartVault rose by 20 percent for the year ended December 31, its parent company GetBusy reported this week. The document management software operations reached about $9.1 million in 2021.
Corporates Lead WK Tax & Accounting Revs
Revenue for its Corporate Performance Solutions business led growth for Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting for 2021. The company recently reported that the Corporate business grew revenue by 10 percent in constant currency for the year ended December 31.
