Screens, Sensors and All Things Wireless

CES LogoThe Consumer Electronics Association announced that CES 2013 was its largest show in history. The review headlines from pundits and unedited bloggers are not great. As always, there are things to see and notice for what it means for current and future use of technology for all of us.

The most noticeable are the screen sizes enhancing in both size and resolution. Screens are in use from 2 inches to 110 inches  with more to come. What is most interesting is that almost all screens can display the same window - apps, movies, video calls and more. Apps will cross all device boundaries providing what the commercials show as you pause watching a large screen television and pick up where you left of on tablet or smartphone.

Walking the CES halls, one would believe that the entire mobile world has gone BLING crazy. The quantity and variety of phone cases, tablet covers and cases, USB drives, headphones, and all types of speakers systems with wired, wireless and Bluetooth boggles the mind of anyone over 29

This year, the show displayed how fast the tech world is replacing, updating and delivering new products. In addition, it needs to be noted how fast adaptive accessories are ready to be attached and connected before the next version of product arrives. There are lots of new and improved battery chargers along with stands, carry bags, and device mounting supports.

This year's products have a wide range for use whether at home, office, car, climbing the Rockies, scuba diving, require medical attention or want a face to face conversation with someone.
