Liberty Tax Chooses New VP

Cory Hughes, Liberty TaxLiberty Tax has hired Cory Hughes as VP of area development. A  franchisee of the tax services chain, Hughes was assistant VP of franchise operations for Liberty from 2006 through 2012. 

 

He comes aboard as the company has been in turmoil from executive departures and dismissals.

Hughes purchased the area development rights for the Little Rock, Ark., area in 2004. His LinkedIn profile says he grew the number of offices from three to 25 and revenue from $250,000 to more than $3 million. In October 2011, expanded his area development area to the Kansas City market. Hughes said that added 21 franchisees, 50 offices, 21,000 customers and $4.1 million in revenue to his area development portfolio
