WK Intros Tax Cuts and Jobs Act Courses

CCH CPEWolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting has introduced courses which focus on the impact of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. These include five self-study courses which enable attendees to work have their own pace and access online course materials.

The courses include the two-hour International Tax Provisions in the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act with Robert Misey and Benjamin Genzer.  Tax Cuts and Jobs Act Deep Dive: Part 1, provides and in-dpeth look, led by  tax expert and tax educator, John J. Connors, JD, CPA, LLM. It offers six hours of CPE. In Part II of this course, Connors discusses subjects such a tax rates schedules, individual deductions, tax breaks, and other mandates. Client case studies are explored.

Tax Credits for Individuals, a one-hour CPE course, focuses on tax credits for individuals. It provides an overview of  individual credits and limitations that apply for each. It also reviews due-diligence requirements for paid preparers. 

Finally, the two-hour Section 199A Qualified Business Income Under 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (2 CPE hours) explores the 20-percent deduction for “qualified business income”, effective for the 2018 tax year through Section 199A and which applies to any business income earned outside a C corporation.
