QB Accountant Links to Online Tax

Intuit has integrated QuickBooks Online Accountant with its ProConnect Tax Online and QuickBooks Self-Employed software. The integration is another step in establishing QuickBooks Online as a platform for applications for tax and accounting firms.

The software company says the link establishes a single place to log in and access accounting and tax clients' data from one client list. Multi-service firms can also view e-file status notifications and bill accounting and tax clients from QBOA.

The system can auto-populate information from a client's QBO file into a tax return prepared via ProConnect. Tax professionals can place the information into the return and efile it without the accountant leaving QBOA.

The integration with QB Self-Employed enables accountants who use QBOA to access accounts of those businesses. QBOA users can see the self-employed clients on their QBOA dashboards. Accountants will also have access to a toolbox that provides navigation to reports, uncategorized transactions, the quarterly and annual taxes tab, the rules management page and a guide inclusive of tips for the accountant and resources for their clients.
