Wolters Kluwer Name More Visible

Karen Abramson, Wolters KluwerWolters Kluwer appears to be ending the use of the name CCH in referring to the company in the United States. In a presentation for investors this week, executives referred to the company's unit in this market as Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting. This follows the company's making the name of the parent more visible on the web site that features CCH products and Wolters Kluwer Law and Business operations.

In her remarks, Karen Abramson, CEO of Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting, noted, "We go to market in the United States under the CCH brand." That remark seemed to define the line between the use of Wolters Kluwer for the company and CCH for its products.

The company has moved to referring to operations here as Wolters Kluwer CCH and Wolters Kluwer CCH Small Firm Services. In the investor presentation, the company seemd to move evern further for using CCH for reporting purposes, listing the title of Teresa Mackintosh as President & CEO, Tax & Accounting US, CCH and of Jason Marx, whose unit sells TaxWise and ATX, as President & CEO, Small Firm Services US & Brazil.

When Mackintosh assumed her current position last year, her title was CEO of CCH Tax & Accounting U.S., and Marx's title was as CEO of CCH Small Firm Services.
