According to a statement from the U.S. Attorney's office in Trenton, N.J., Fraser prepared a 2010 return for an undercover agent on April 8, 2011. That return claimed false deductions for medical and dental expenses, charitable contributions, reimbursed employee expenses, tuition, a business loss and a capital gain loss. The Internal Revenue Service estimated Fraser’s action cause a tax loss of $149,739. There was no estimate how many phony returns he prepared during the three years cited.

Fraser’s businesses have offices in Maplewood, Bloomfield and Newark, N.J. Besides providing tax preparation services, it also offers forensic accounting, according to the firm’s website. The firm was founded in 1997.
