IRS Hiring 470 Revenue Agents

HiringThe Internal Revenue Service this month is interviewing candidates for 470 jobs as revenue ages. The agents specialize in auditing or examining business taxpayers nationwide.

The positions are at grades 5-12 in the federal civil service system with a base pay ranging from $31,083 to $68,299. New hires will join the agency's Small Business Self Employed (SB/SE) division. Registration is available at  USAJOBS - Events. Two sets of interview opportunities remain this z at 3 pm ET July 21 and 3pm ET July 25

Applicants need to have a bachelor’s degree in accounting with at least 30 semester hours in that subject: 24 semester hours in accounting and an additional 6 semester hours in related subjects such as business law, economics and statistical/quantitative methods. 

Those with a combination of experience and education or a certificate as a CPA can also qualify.

He is known throughout the industry for his depth of knowledge and for his high journalistic standards.  Scott has made frequent appearances as a speaker, moderator and panelist and events serving tax and accounting professionals. He  has a strong background in computer journalism as an editor with two former trade publications, Computer+Software News and MIS Week and spent several years with weekly and daily newspapers in Morris County New Jersey prior to that.  A graduate of Indiana University with a degree in journalism, Bob is a native of Madison, Ind
