Sageworks Publishes Firm Strategies Book

SageworksSageworks has published a book designed to provide strategies for firms to add value beyond their technical skills. Called "Next-Level Accountants: Your guide to growing a firm of trusted advisors", the publication provides advice from experts in firm strategy, compensation, marketing, client relations, client retention and technology.

Chapters, designed to be read in from three minutes to five minutes, cover practical strategies aimed at helping firms create more value for their clients and increase profitability.

Authors include Gale Crosley, Doug Sleeter, Tim McDaniel and Erik Asgeirsson, who share insight on the importance of serving as "quarterback" for business clients; Jody Padar and Allan D. Koltin on providing a better client experience; and Tom Hood, Marc Rosenberg, Joe Woodard and Gary R. Trugman on freeing up time so accountants can work on strategy, management and other high-value work.

Other authors include Ronald J Baker, August J. Aquila and Terrence E. Putney, who discuss partner and practice-management strategies for transforming a firm's focus to value-added advisory work and Charles Green, Randall Bolten and Kelly Phillips Erb about best practices for developing some of the "soft skills" that set apart trusted advisors.

The book can be downloaded from Sageworks.
