The California Society of CPAs and CalCPA Education Foundation have hired Denise LeDuc Froemming, as president and CEO of both organizations. Froemming will move into the positions on October 18.She replaces Rich Simitian, who has served as interim CEO since May. The job came open after Anthony Pugliese, who held the joint positions from January 2019, left to become CEO and president of the Institute of Internal Auditors in March
Froemming was most recently CEO and EVP of the Institute of Real Estate Management, which she had served since September 2017. Before that she was COO and CFO/EVP of the American Health Information Management Association from September 2011
