Avalara Adds Three Executives

Avalara has significantly expanded its leadership, this week. The sales tax company has added three new executives and given new roles to two long-term EVPs

Avalara has hired Amit Mathradas as president and COO. He becomes the first person in that position since Kevin Riegelsberger held the positions briefly several years ago. Mathradas was GM and head of SMB/merchant for North America for PayPal, which he joined in November 2014.

Also joining the company were, Sanjay Parthasarathy as chief product officer, and Ross Tennenbaum as EVP strategic initiatives. Parthasarathy was CEO of Indix, which he founded in January 2012. Earlier this month, Avalara acquired artificial intelligence technology from Indix. Tennenbaum was manager director of investment banking for Goldman Sachs, where he worked from September 2014.

The changed titles for were for EVPs Pascal Van Dooren and Marshal Kushniruk. Van Dooren with company since October 2011, has held the position of chief revenue officer since June 2014. Kushniruk becomes EVP of corporate development after serving as EVP of global business development since January 2013. He joined Avalara in 2004.
