Before taking the Paya job, Kaplan was CEO of Total Merchant Services from January 2012. Prior to that, he was CEO of Intuit’s Innovative Merchant Services and was with that group from October 1999 through September 2008.
CEO of Paya (Sage Payments) Passes Away
Joe Kaplan, CEO of Paya (formerly Sage Payments) died while on vacation with his family in Bermuda on Friday, July 27, the company has announced. Kaplan was hired as CEO in October of Paya, which acquired by GTCR as it spun out from Sage.
