Thomson Tax, Accounting Chief Moves Up

Brian Peccarelli, Thomson ReutersBrian Peccarelli, president the tax and accounting unit has become co-chief operating officer. He is joined in the role by Neil Masterson as the company this week implemented a reorganization in preparation for the company’s selling a majority stake in its Financial and Risk business to Blackstone.

Peccarelli, who had held the tax and accounting job since February 2011, is responsible for all customer-facing operations including driving sales. Previously chief transformation officer, Masterson will manage commercial and technology operations.

Four executives are leaving the company as part of the change. These are Susan Taylor Martin, president of the Legal business; Gonzalo Lissarrague, president of the global growth organization;  chief communications officer Gus Carlson; and chief strategy officer Brian Scanlon.
