Product Officer Norton Leaving Xero

Angus Norton, XeroChief product officer Angus Norton is leaving Xero after working in that position since October 2014. Based in New Zealand, Norton is returning to his home in Seattle, Wash. His duties are being taken over by Duncan Ritchie, chief platform officer, with the product and platform teams being merged together as the cloud-based software company completes its platform migration to AWS.

Norton came to Xero from Microsoft where he started in June 1995 with Microsoft New Zealand. He moved to the United States in May 2002 as director of product management for the Windows Phone Division. From June 2011 through November 2014, he served as a VP and GM at Microsoft for the Office product line in this country, along with Office365, Skype, Yammer and other units.
