Xero Names Chief Data Officer

Tony Stewart, XeroXero has named Tony Stewart to the newly created position of chief data officer. The New Zealand-based cloud accounting software company says in this new role Stewart will be responsible for accelerating automation, business systems rollout and big data innovation.

Stewart was previously group CEO of Intergen, a Microsoft systems integrator. He founded the company in 2001 and it was purchased by Australia-based Empired last year. At the time, Intergen had a staff of 370 and annual revenue of $60 million Australian.
